It’s the stuff that legends and dreams are made of

KING OF WHITETAIL EXHIBITS FROM BASS PRO SHOPS

Bass Pro Shops ‘King of Bucks’ exhibit of over 200 of the largest whitetail bucks ever taken, the stuff legends and dreams are made of for hunters of every age.  Seventy-five of the mounts are state or world records and are truly awe-inspiring.  The traveling museum visits various Bass Pro Shops locations around the United States, usually with up to 20 mounts on a rotating basis so most mounts eventually go on display.  The entire exhibit, with the exception of those in the traveling museum, makes its permanent home at the Wonders of Wildlife museum in Springfield, MO.

In 1990, Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris began acquiring mounts from various individuals including Gale Supp, Chuck Arnold, Dick Idol, Walter Shriner, and Larry Huffman’s Legendary Whitetails® collection, along with many more collections and individual records.  Bass Pro Shops created this traveling exhibit to insure these all-original trophies would be enjoyed and appreciated by sportsmen around the world through our stores and other exhibit opportunities.

This exhibit is not only unique because of the size of the whitetail bucks displayed, but also because each mount has its own unique and fascinating tale of how it was taken.  The exhibit focuses on celebrating the importance of conservation and how amazing results, like these trophies, can be achieved through cooperative conservation practices by America’s sportsmen.  When on display at Bass Pro Shops retail locations, admission to the exhibit is always free.
