There are no lions or tigers but it is true were going to have a 1500lbs live GRIZZLY bear named Brody. Jeff Watson of J&L BRUINS believe that educating the public about bears and safety in bear country is the most important aspect of their business. Jeff travels throughout the country sharing his vast knowledge of bears and most importantly, he shares his dear friend, Brody, with over a million people every year. Brody has appeared on "Good Morning America", "The Tonight Show", and "The Today Show". A huge crowd pleaser!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Kodiak Grizzly bear up close and personal. Whether Brody is playing with his toys, interacting with Jeff or simply taking one of his afternoon naps... seeing such an amazingly beautiful, intelligent and HUGE animal is an experience you won't soon forget. *Country Concert* County Artist Jeff Hunt LIVE local country music artist Jeff Hunt,feels he's got a Platinum record on his hands as he is preparing to release a DEER HUNTER'S ANTHEM entitled "Early November". "It is a true hunter's song" Says Hunt. Born in Boone Coounty and raised in the heart of Deer Country he got his start in the outdoors. He got his start in country music while hanging drywall. "I was working as a drywall installer when a guy heard me singing, four months later I'm in Nashville recording my first album. Our hunting rights are very "Deer" to my hear, this song helps bring awareness. You can check the song and video out on YouTube titles hunters anthem. HALL OF FAME This year we will be inviting the Top Ten typical and non-typical trophy whitetail harvested by Rifle and Archery in the State of Missouri to be part of the legendary MDC Whitetail Hall of Fame. This will create an overwhelming wall of over 40 Boone & Crockett caliber trophies... an amazing tribute to Missouri's quality whitetails. The MDC Whitetail Hall of Fame is going to be a tradition we will continue in the future also. PSE Competition Truck-- From the heart of Central Missouri the PSE Competition Truck rolls into town. Chris Dicus has put together this fine piece of machinery pushing more than 600 Horse Power through the engine. So watch out where your parking and make sure it is not in Chris's space or you might end up flat. Come down and check t out. Missouri Deer Classic Big Buck Contest--This is the contest all Missouri Hunters are striving to win, with over 400 entrants in 2009! Many different categories to compete in including Firearm, Bow, Muzzleloader, Historial, Youth and Ladies categories, all broken into Typical and Non-Typical divisions! If you took a trophy whitetail in the past two years, we certainly encourage you to enter! There is a historical division for bucks taken before 2007. Your $10 Big Buck Contest entry fee includes official Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young measuring of your trophy! Missouri Monster Shed Contest--Hundreds of monster sheds from all across whitetail country will be display for the weekend in this great contest sponsored by Archery Big Bucks of Missouri and Missouri Show Me Big bucks! Whitetail sheds can be brought in and entered into our contest for awards and prizes creating a spectacular display showcasing the great finds of shed hunters; a fitting display for a pastime which is so quickly growing in popularity. D & K Virtual Hunts- Come on in and check out a hunting experience like no other. D & K virtual hunts will be located up stairs above the consession stand. They will be offering a virtual experience of a hunt of a life time and would love to take you through it.
